What fit suits you best?

  • A bike fit can have a wide variety of purposes. For one person, it may be a means to finally getting rid of that neck pain, for another, it is all about getting as aero as possible. For everyone, however, bike fitting is about improvement. Because everyone has different needs, every Full Fit will look different. The focus of every session is therefore on the aspects of your cycling that you want to improve on!

I have decided to have a bike fit, but what is the difference between a Body Positioning Session and a Full Fit?

Different from the Body Positioning Session, in a Full Fit, we won't just look at the improvements you can obtain by adjusting your position on the bike. In the Full Fit session we will put more time and consideration into analyzing your movement patterns. By doing so, we can assess more precisely how you can best focus your efforts to see the most improvement in your cycling. For some, this may mean advice on stretching and strengthening exercises and pedaling technique. For others, it may mean using the remaining time to perform a foot correction and increase overall symmetry on the bike.

In short, we will delve more deeply into the limiters of your body and spend time helping you with your specific requirements.

Your body takes time to get used to a new position, therefore you get a free 1 hour session within 3 months after your original appointment. This way we can give your body time to adapt and find out if something else could use some finetuning.

Aditionally, all full fit customers get unlimited access to the saddle library.

  • In the Body Positioning Session we consider your body's limiters and adjust your position on the bike in order to optimize both comfort and performance, specific to your body's needs.

Everybody is different; some of us are full-time yogis and some of us work behind a desk all day, some want to race and others want to enjoy an easy cruise through the countryside. Differences in body types, needs, and expectations can cause problems when considering that we all have to ride similar factory build bikes. In a Body Positioning Session, we will personalize your bike to your body.

During the session, we start with a conversation about your personal needs and expectations. After a short physical assessment to get a better idea of your body’s strengths and weaknesses, we get you on the bike. Together with everything we learned in the interview and physical assessment we will fine-tune your position on the bike and get you riding comfortably.

  • The feet are one of the most overlooked parts of the bike fitting process. However, they are arguably also one of the most important. Having unbalanced feet has major ramifications for the way your whole body interacts with the bike.

So, are you already comfortable on the bike but you want to take it to the next level? Then having a good look at the way your feet interact with your bike could be the best thing you could do for your cycling.

“Cleat correction? I just put the cleats on my shoes when I bought them and they seem fine. Why should I change it?”

You have three contact points with which you interact with your bike: hands, saddle, and feet. Out of these three, your feet are arguably the most important. All of the force that propels you forwards goes through your feet. Additionally, feet are one of the most complex parts of the human body. Consider this: when riding a bike, your foot doesn't actually function as a foot normally does. It doesn't need to flex and absorb shocks (e.g. while walking or running). Rather, it functions as a simple lever that makes the same repetitive movement thousands of times in a single session. Making sure that your foot is in the best position possible is incredibly important for optimizing comfort and performance.

In the Foot Activation and Cleat Correction Session, we consider your foot's natural position and movement patterns as well as your body’s symmetry, both on and off the bike. People are inherently asymmetrical beings, so minimizing the discrepancies between your body and the completely symmetrical machine that is your bicycle - which you probably sit on for hours at a time! - can make a huge difference for comfort and injury prevention. After the physical assessment we undertake a step-by-step process to fine-tune the way your feet interact with the bike.

  • Sometimes life gets the better of you and an injury hits. Other times you get the better of life and your training has worked wonders.

Changes to our body often means changes to our fit. For these situation a whole new bikefit seems excessive. However, having another look at your position can have you riding more comfortable than ever.

For those people I offer a re-assessment of your position to get you going again.

This option is only available for people who have had a bikefit in the past 24 months.

  • Saddle choice is often very personal, because the most comfortable throne for one person can be quite literally a torture machine for another. That's why there's such a wide variety of different shapes and sizes available. But sometimes too much choice can make it difficult to know what's right for you.

Where to start? How do you know a saddle works for you without trying it? Is it even your saddle that is causing the problems, or could it be your position that is the culprit of discomfort?

We've set up The Saddle Library to answer these questions!

    What you get:

    - A 30 minute to 1hr consult to make sure your saddle problems aren't caused by position, and to try out several saddles in quick succession to find the general shape that works for you. *

    - Access to a wide variety of saddles to test and ride for a 2-week period per saddle.

    Prices:
    - Original consult: 60,-
    - Additional consult: 30,-
    - Saddle change: 0,-

*If you have not had a quality bikefit before, the chances are that any saddle discomfort is not due to your saddle, but is a consequence of your overall position. I would therefore strongly recommend to book a body positioning session or full fit in stead.

The Saddle Library is available for full fit customers free of charge.

  • Injury prevention is the name of the game. When our bodies aren’t fully grown yet, the last thing we want to do is put it under extreme loads. Juniors are known for pushing through starting problems - and absorbing these problems - but adapting in an unhealthy way. Therefore, a bike fit can be a really useful injury prevention tool. However, to get a full bike fit might be a little excessive, considering your body is likely to change (and will continue changing) within a relatively short period of time.

For this reason, I offer cyclists below the age of 18 a ‘junior fit’. This is a short(ish) fitting session in which we make sure all your measurements are within an acceptable range to make sure you don’t get injured. Following this initial session, you can come back every 6 months for another 30 minute session for only 30,- to accommodate your changing measurements.

    Takes 1.5 to 2 hrs

    Junior fit: 135,-
    (optional) follow-up session: 40,-

  • We understand that your schedule can change. Therefore, rescheduling or cancellations are free of charge up to 24hrs in advance.

If you need to cancel or reschedule within 24 hrs of your appointment, a surcharge of 50,-euros will be applied.
